Naz Shah MP

Labour MP for Bradford West

About Me

I am born and bred in Bradford, and still live in the constituency with my family. It was an absolute honour and a privilege to have been elected as the Member of Parliament for Bradford West in 2015.

I was previously a women's rights campaigner, and a former chair of mental health charity Sharing Voices Bradford the largest BME mental health charity outside of London.

I've worked as a carer for children and adults with disabilities and spent time as a NHS Commissioner and the director of a regional leadership program for local government.

Since been elected in May 2015, I have become a Member of the Home Affairs select committee and have a particular passion in working on issues around education, prevent, islamophobia, integration, social mobility and poverty.

If you have any questions about my work, would like to bring an issue to my attention, or help with a problem please email me at or call my office on 01274725171
